It’s Raining and He’s Singing

"Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD." (Psalm‬ ‭150‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

One morning when I got up it was raining. I made my way to my prayer room. As I was sitting there talking with the Lord, I heard a little bird singing. Now, it was raining pretty hard outside, not like a light drizzle. So I thought, How is that little bird singing out there in this rain? Isn’t he getting wet? There was a big tree outside my window so I thought that perhaps he was out there covered by one of the big leaves. Wow, isn’t that something! I thought.

He sounded really happy and cheerful to be singing his morning song. He was out there and the sun had not fully risen yet.

Besides, it was raining which meant it was cloudy and probably a bit chilly. However, despite the clouds and the rain, that little bird was singing his morning song. He is offering up his praises to God and that is wonderful and beautiful.

I thought about how the sun is always shining. It is even shining in the morning when it is raining outside. It is just behind the clouds. Soon it will stop raining and we will be able to feel the warmth of the sun.

The Son, Jesus, is always shining in our lives. Even on our cloudy days He lets us feel the warmth of His love. We just need to take note of it. He is there and worthy of all our praises.

We also have a morning song of praise to the Lord that we can give Him. We praise God because He is worthy of all our praises. He is always good and has blessings for us. He has wonderful plans for our lives. We need to offer praises to Him in the morning, at noon-time, and all through the day. He loves to hear our praises. Let’s offer praise to Him because He will always let us feel the warmth of His love.

Yep, the Son is always shining!

Declare The Word:

Lord my God, I have breath and I will praise You! You are worthy of all praise. You are good and your tender mercies are new every morning. You have plans for me. They are good plans and nothing disasterous. You want to give me a future and a hope. I believe this truth! I continue to praise You for this and for who You are! Hallelujah!
