"For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome." -1 John 5:3 (NKJV)
God’s way of doing things is never burdensome. Peace, simplicity and rest are good indicators you’re on the right path. You do not belong to the world’s system or the world’s way of doing things. You are translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His Son when you seek first God’s way of doing and being in this world. That includes your finances, your job, eating, buying a home and loving others. Seek first God’s way of handling your situation and everything else will fall into place.
If you find yourself doing something that seems complicated, frustrating or tiring—pause and pray. Ask Him for His way of tackling the problem then take the time to listen.
If you find that the answer doesn’t come right away, begin thanking God for the answer in faith. The answer WILL come.
“If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get His help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who ‘worry their prayers’ are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.” -James 1:5-8 (MSG)
Ask the Father for help. Speak the Word of God over everything you do, make the Word first place in your life and watch what happens! He IS faithful to His Word—Always!
Declare the Word:
Father, thank You that Your ways are not the world’s ways and Your thoughts are not how the world thinks—they are far better. I pause in this moment and ask You to show me a better way to manage my finances, my job, my family, my home and every other area of my life. I seek first Your way of doing and being and so move out from under the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of Your dear Son. I keep Your Word first place in my life.
